i'm really pumped to get to go to new orleans all of next week. last minute, richard (my RUF minister) asked if i was interested because there was an open spot. my dear parents coughed up some money and let me go. those things always cost more than you think, you know? but, trust me... it will not be a luxurious trip by any means. 12 of us are staying in a house for an entire week on magazine st. (whatever that means) and 8 will be another small house. and it's only $90 a person for the whole week. that tells you it can't be too special. but, it will be fun! we are doing relief work with redeemer presbyterian church in new orleans. basically, building houses, clearing out debris, etc. we get to know the church there and we will have time to explore the city. honestly, i'm just very excited to spend some time with some of my friends who i haven't seen in a couple of weeks and to get to know the people at this church. so, i hope ya'll have a great week and had a great new years (mine was pretty uneventful). here are some pictures to get me prepared...
