because if you know me well, you know i love, love, love a seaside, fl wedding. so, needless to say, i was thrilled to see this on southern weddings yesterday.

and, can i please have this bedroom? the whole thing. the romantic headboard, subtle gold wallpaper, and the fur throw... oh my goodness i don't know if i've ever seen a bedroom i liked so much.

beautiful invites.

i'm taking a breather from this week. it has been oh so busy. and, i'm not done yet, for sure.

but, my finance test is over!! yay. now, i have to finish writing a paper and begin studying for beverage. but, i needed something fun for a second.

plus, i'm having to be super careful right now with whatever i do or wherever i go. see, RUF has begun "shenanigans". everyone has a name of person they are supposed to shoot with a water gun. once you "kill" your person, you have to kill the person they were after. so, someone is after me and i am after someone. it is the craziest time because you can't really talk to anyone or hang out. and you walk around paranoid all of the time. anyway, we are in the middle of that. maybe its a good thing so i can actually get a lot of work done rather than hang out.

but, onto pretty things...

minted has design challenges for different types of stationary... party invites, notecards, business cards, etc. well, they just had a design challenge for wedding invitations. new designers from around the country send in their designs. they have not announced a winner yet. but, these are some of my favorites. there were so many beautiful invitations!!

...and a song, of course. i'm a little obsessed with cat stevens.

how simple, how gorgeous.

still chugging along here at the beach. today was rather chilly, though. i laid out wrapped up in towels... so that did not work out so well. this afternoon we were treated to pedicures! it is a rare occasion i get my toes or nails done, and it only happens if i am being treated. thanks, kroh family. tonight, lauren's dad is cooking lots of seafood. he is bringing his intern over for dinner. in the meantime, i have been gushing, gushing over these photographs featured on style me pretty today. they were shot by white album weddings in vancouver.

i just wanted to post a snippet before i head to keep nursery for a women's bible study. here are some new invitations from elum's new line, umi, a less expensive line. here a few invitations from grapevine, as well.

and on a completely different topic, are these words not incredible from psalm 139? i know it may sound cheesy, but i always like to read that psalm when it's my birthday, talking about being created fearfully and all my days being numbered. well, i know most have heard this verse several times, but when you really realize what it is saying... well, it's quite incredible. it's quite comforting and overwhelming.

"I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works... skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth...And in Your book were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them... When I awake, I am still with You."

why do i worry?

bella figura.

i have long been a huge fan of bella figura, a letterpress invitation vendor. they have introduced several new invitations. it is amazing to me how they never stop being absolutely gorgeous and unique. it is really difficult to condense them to just a few of my favorites but i will try.

its the "list" time of year and a few more boards...

i love the end of the year when everyone is posting top 10 lists from the past year... and, since it is the end of a decade sometimes it increases to top 100! instyle has a fabulous list of the top 100 dresses of the decade. snippet and ink is posting their top 10 flowers and cakes and paper and other stuff from the past year. style me pretty is simply posting some of their favorite weddings. rolling stone has the top 10 movies and top 25 albums. those are just to name a few. i don't know why i love lists, but i just do. i love them! and... i could not resist posting some more inspiration boards from snippet an ink. they are so insanely beautiful.
