who am i listening to right now?

i am blessed with friends who really enjoy music and much of the time music that i really love... therefore i can have a free shopping spree on their iTunes or sometimes they are generous enough to make me CDs... so thanks to my good friends and not to my own ability to find really awesome music, this is what i am listening to these days... oh and thanks to inspiration from dawson's creek... haha.

1. Ben Sollee... this music is beautiful... almost classical. my favorite is "i can't". very good chill out music.



2. The Gabe Dixon Band... kind of poppy, but not too much. one of their songs is in the intro to the proposal. my favorite song is "baby doll".



3. Jann Arden - blah! old school and super girly... a little indulgent. however, i do love it. if you watch just about any episode of dawson's creek, you will probably hear jann arden. haha.



4. Stevie Wonder - he makes me very happy. i love stevie wonder... but did not realize just how much till lately.



5. Vampire Weekend - i'm in love with this band. i feel a little awkward trying to describe music, because i really have no way of knowing what certain terms mean for music. especially for a band like this... so all i'll say is i love them.



6. David Cook - haha. here is a bit from my american idol love... actually, i never loved david cook, but he is growing on me lately. i heard this song the other day and humor me, but i can't stop listening to it. actually, i am featuring two of his songs. the second is an original... recorded while his brother was battling cancer. also, i hate ending on the number 6. it's not a good number to end on, but that's all the music i want to feature today, and i really don't want to leave any of it out. ok, that's all.





i can not believe how much time i just spent on this blog post. oh well, that's something i'm fighting every day... procrastination.
